METAR and TAF are not always enough to plan a flight, especially not for a longer VFR flight with small aircraft or light sport aircraft. Often you have to switch between several websites to get access to all relevant aviation weather forecasts.
Now we have made the job a little easier for you, and have set up a page with weather forecasts for flying in Norway, which covers METAR, TAF, IGA-PROG, Airmets, Sigmets, Windshear, Sigchart, Geosatellit, vær-radar, Windy and Nullschool Wind. You can find the page under the menu “Resources”.
The same selected airports for METAR and TAF that you have set for the scroll on our homepage also apply to the weather page. You can also make your selection of up to four airports for METAR and TAF there. The other forecasts on the page are independent of your selected airports.
As with METAR and TAF on the homepage, we cannot guarantee that errors will not occur and all use of the service is at your own risk.
Also remember to refresh the website to get updated weather reports after a while.
Enjoy!
By clicking on “Set airports” in the line with METAR and TAF on the front page of fly1.no, you can choose up to four airports for which you want to see METAR and TAF when you visit us next time.
Updated METAR and TAF are retrieved from yr.no‘s API every time the front page is loaded. The website must therefore be reloaded regularly for METAR and TAF to be updated. Always check the timestamp of METAR and TAF to make sure that they are up to date.
Although we have done everything we can to provide you with correct and current weather forecasts, we cannot guarantee that errors never occur and all use of the service is at your own risk. It is therefore important to check METAR and TAF against official sources before boarding the plane, such as ippc.no or metar-taf.com.
We have also made this process easier for you. The ICAO codes for airports in both METAR and TAF with us are active links to the same airport at metar-taf.com. By clicking on these, you will be taken directly to either METAR or TAF for the airport in question. Here you will also find more information about the airport.
The idea is that METAR and TAF here with us can be an easy and quick way to get an overview of the weather at up to four selected airports at the same time, without you having to search for all the messages manually many times over. We also hope that this contributes to a safer flight for GA pilots.
In our ever-growing collection of links for motor and sport aircraft pilots you will also find several useful resources for planning flights.
We only have a few products in our store so far. But new items will be coming in continuously, so please visit us again throughout the spring. We will eventually offer a wide range of items specifically aimed at pilots and aviation enthusiasts.
Some of the items that will be coming are spare parts for ICP aircraft, wear parts for various aircraft and engine models, headsets and lots of other products for pilots and aircraft owners.
Many of our products will also be of interest to others. Everyone is equally welcome to shop with us – regardless of whether your preferred means of transport has wings or not.
For example, we offer a number of products with customized designs or text, which may be of equal interest to sports teams, associations and companies. We will eventually also have a good selection of bags, which are well suited for many purposes.
Our store is brand new, so if you experience something that is not working properly, we would appreciate if you would send us a tip about it at shop@fly1.no. Please describe in detail what is not working, so it’s easier for us to fix.
This is the first edition of our website. It will with time be expanded with more information about us, about our suppliers and their exciting products.
We are especially looking forward to having an online store in place soon, where you can buy spare parts for ICP aircraft, together with a growing selection of accessories for both aircraft and pilots.
If there are any special flight-related products that you need but cannot find elsewhere, it would be nice if you could give us a hint about this. Perhaps we can offer these in our shop.
Our primary market is the countries of Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, but you may purchase many of our products even if you live elsewhere. Agreements with our suppliers may however limit some of the products we can sell depending on where you live.
Please contact us if you have any questions related to our products.
